We, human beings of good will, intelligent and capable of discernment, believe that a reform of the system that governs the world is necessary and urgent.
What is in place—states, religions, and power relations of all kinds—are the legacy of outdated civilizations.
Nothing is immutable, because it is humankind who put it in place. With the knowledge we have today, we must have the wisdom to question ourselves and the entire organization of the world with it.
Heaven is a place on Earth. The problem is the behavior of some selfish humans who think in the short term and take advantage of the credulity of others for their own gain.
Everyone has the right to believe in what they want, and they always will. Religions are useful to those who need to believe in their gods. We have no problem with any religion per se, nor with mysticism and beliefs in the forces of nature. They may well be true. One of the world’s problems for millennia has been the abuse of certain power-hungry people who use religions to achieve their ends. The problem is not religions but what we do with them and the excesses that result from them, because of men and not sacred writings.
We note that religions throughout the world are the cause of much division, hatred, war, and death. Since the existence of god(s) has not been proven, we propose that, on a global scale, religions lose the influence they have over certain territories and become mere associations. Excesses and claims in the name of any religion should no longer be tolerated and must be punished.
The other serious problem facing our planet is the division of the world into states… States are the product of eras when insecurity reigned in a world whose extent was unknown. It was necessary (often with the help of regional religions) to supposedly protect the people through a supreme authority within an artificially demarcated territory. We believe that humanity no longer needs these borders imposed by history and money, and that it must free itself from them.
Without fragmented territories, without arbitrary borders, the world will be at peace, there will be no more migration problems, no more problems with the value of currencies… The world will be peaceful, life will be simpler, and trade of all kinds will be free.
This is why we ask existing governments to admit that the territories they administer do not belong to them, but to humanity. We hope that, with the help of structures such as the UN, states will be dissolved and replaced by regions dependent on a single world government, composed of people known for their wisdom and selflessness.
None of this can be achieved with the selfishness and greed that drives some people. We must realize that it is together that we will live in better conditions and that the planet’s resources will be better managed. Our future is not assured by eternally fighting against each other.
This requires a comprehensive reform of education, which must ensure that everyone understands and accepts certain philosophical principles that will allow them to lose interest in owning useless things, instill the principles of nonviolent communication, and harness collective intelligence rather than instill a competitive spirit.
It will not be easy; it will require effort and the renunciation of certain privileges, but the goal is laudable: that every person on Earth lives decently and in reasonable comfort.
It will certainly take several generations to achieve the planetary harmony that the radical changes we are discussing will enable. This is why the world government must be firm and not tolerate any form of corruption or impunity.
